FCOM SI + New Items Frans 4.5b install guide with screenshots

You need

• Francesco's leveled creatures/items mod 4.5b , download the small exe (Francesco's leveled creatures-items mod 4.5b ) - the other contains the BSAs for the optional creatures and items - the creatures one is not needed as it is actually the MMM creatures. So bin this and download the
• Optimized Francesco Resources bsa - only the items BSA !

EDIT : check Metallic cow's excellent step by step extracting procedure to produce a BAIN archive. The wizard is now fully FCOM friendly !

You will want to create a BAIN package from the exe and BSA. To this end run the exe and choose a temp location to extract the files :



Following are the screenshots for a recommended SI FCOM setup with Francesco's new items. If not using SI (or do not want to use Frans SI as it is optional) do not check Optional Chance of More Enemies and Optional Leveled Guards. On Living Economy I quote Tomlong :

1. Enhanced Economy (requires OBSE) is the recommended alternative.
2. Do NOT use with other versions of LE.
3. This is a special version tweaked for Fran.
4. OOO 1.33 also bundles LE (an obsolete version, 3.63).
5. The latest version of LE (3.7) can be downloaded from the LE Nexus page.

In short DO NOT install LE from Frans (if at all). For the respawn time and timescale modifications use WB tweaks instead (check also TheNiceOne's Automatic Timescale). For leveling use a dedicated plugin (OOO changes leveling rates anyway). I choose English in the last screen but not sure if this is important.































All the options should be as shown !!!
Now press Next and let it extract the files in your TEMP dir. Then add in the temp dir the items bsa FraNewItems.bsa and rename it to FCOM_Convergence_FraNewItems.bsa. Choose all docs you want and dump them in a Docs\Frans 4.5b directory.
Select all of them and zip them to a BAIN package (say Fran 4.5b--BAIN'ed for FCOM.7z). Its structure should be (I included all the docs but you might as well include only the htm or none) :

Drop Fran 4.5b.7z to your installers folder, check all the espms, install, DONE with FRANS.
